What is BIM?

''BIM is a process for creating and managing information on a construction project throughout its whole life cycle. As part of this process, a coordinated digital description of every aspect of the built asset is developed, using a set of appropriate technology. It is likely that this digital description includes a combination of information-rich 3D models and associated structured data such as product, execution and handover information."

"Internationally, the BIM process and associated data structures are best defined in the ISO 19650 and 12006 series of standards.''

What is OpenBIM?

''OpenBIM extends the benefits of BIM (Building Information Modeling) by improving the accessibility, usability, management and sustainability of digital data in the built asset industry. At its core, openBIM is a collaborative process that is vendor neutral."

"OpenBIM processes can be defined as sharable project information that supports seamless collaboration for all project participants. OpenBIM facilitates interoperability to benefit projects and assets throughout their lifecycle.''

Why OpenBIM?

Because OpenBIM saves our clients time and money together with delivering a better outcome at all stages of the life cycle of the built asset. From wowing investors using digital twins to anticipating site issues with early 3D coordination and enhancing operations and maintenance, OpenBIM is more than a tool.

How do we do OpenBIM?

Working closely with our clients, our workflow follows OpenBIM standards (IFC, Uniclass 2015, CObie, etc.) and includes Archicad (Modelling), BIMcollab (clash-detection based on BCF standards), BIMx - Twinmotion (interactive presentations), SCIA (Structural Analysis), DDSCA (MEP Analysis), client provided CDE's (Aconex, Asite, etc.) and collaboration softwares / platforms (REVIT, BIM360, Vertex BD, Civil 3D, Tekla, etc.).
