METAnymphs
''Our proposal will awaken the heritage asset by re-consecrating the Nymphaeum to the Nymphs through the perpetual motion of the infinite loop.''
Our Concept
Forgotten Asset
In the countryside of Rome, hidden in a forest outside a small town, there is a forgotten renaissance pavilion. It's the Bramante's Nymphaeum, designed by the famous Italian architect Donato Bramante, built at the beginning of the fifteenth century by the Colonna family in Genazzano, near Rome.
Blending Past, Present and Future
Not only our infinite loop links the Nymphaeum to the future to bring it back to life but it also puts time in perspective, as a perpetual movement constantly bringing life back into a continuum able to show visitors that past, present and future are merged into the magic of the site.
A New Theatre Experience
We are proposing to use the existing building as the stage for our theater. Spectators will be able to use a VR headset to experience AR allowing them to watch the performance with or without the Nymphaeum ruins. This forms part of the new experience for the spectators and provides a new tool to the theater companies to provide innovative and immersive shows.
Metaverse is Coming to Town
The metaverse is a new dimension that is already radically changing our perception of reality through augmented (AR) and virtual realities (VR). It is a unique opportunity to go beyond what we perceive as our world to make the best use of its built environment through the digital twin technology.
Sensory Pod Experience
The provision of 100 seats sheltered from rain and sun will be done via 100 individual sensory pods. Theater companies will interact directly with spectators via music, sounds, smells or changes in temperature, all forming part of the new theater experience provided by our proposal.
